The Nepal Law Commission was initially constituted by an official choice in 1953, quickly after the down of multiparty majority rule government. The second, third, fourth and fifth Commissions were constituted in 1960, 1963, 1972 and 1979 separately. Every one of those Commissions was impermanent in nature. The Nepal Law Commission was given changeless status just in 1984. After the reclamation of multiparty popular government in 1990, the NLC was rebuilt with the command proportionate with the changed setting. It was again rebuilt in 2003 with opportune changes in its order and piece. Presently, the Commission is a statutory body under the Nepal Law Commission Act, 2007, which was declared on 14 January 2007. It is to note that until then it used to be constituted by the official choice. Composition The Commission comprises of nine individuals including the Chairperson, Vice-director, and seven individuals. The Chairperson and the Vice-executive are designated by the Government of Nepal for a long time. Other three individuals comprising of no less than one lady are named by the same for a long time. Resigned judges of the Supreme Court or the individuals who have fit the bill for the same are qualified to be named as the Chairperson, Vice-executive, and individuals.
